Who We Are:
MIC4D Foundation is a worldwide “movement” dedicated to help improve the quality of life of individuals suffering from the debilitating effects of Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) or Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis (JRA). We are motivated by passion and will share our stories to inspire YOU!
To Advocate, Educate, Encourage, and Inspire those living with Rheumatoid Arthritis to MAKE IT COUNT RA is an autoimmune disorder that causes inflammation of the lining of the joints and major organs. The body tissue is mistakenly attacked by its own immune system, resulting in the most disabling type of arthritis. About 1.5 million people in the United States have rheumatoid arthritis. Nearly three times as many women have the disease as men. In women, RA most commonly begins between ages 30 and 60. In men, it often occurs later in life. It is very comment for generations to pass down the disease; however, the majority of people with RA have no family history of the disease.
MIC4D Foundation is on a mission to promote movement throughout the world. Rheumatoid Arthritis, along with other forms of Arthritis can be daunting. It can stop you in your tracks. If you haven’t read Dani’s story yet, please do. Her story in itself will help you be inspired to get up and move.
With the donations and corporate sponsors who help support our mission, their money is going towards the following:
MIC4D sends “movement” packages all of the world to adults and young people battling this disease. This is all about encouraging others to not allow the disease to WIN. The hope is each patient will find the desire and strength to get up and move each day.
